Diana Calderon is an interdisciplinary artist & educator. Her family migrated from Chihuahua Mexico in 1987 to El Paso, Texas. Currently resides in Phoenix. Holds a BFA in visual art (intermedia) plus one year and summer-mester towards an MFA. Calderon is a former charter school administrator. Summer 2022 she started a full-time dedication to the arts and creating impact with and for others. Calderon is a certified Grief Educator, currently teaching creative workshops for all stages as well as coaching developing professionals.

As a visual artist ~ Diana Calderón blends traditional and contemporary techniques such as relief printmaking, bookmaking and performance art. Calderón investigates concepts through performance art and sculptural installations. Calderon was recently awarded the A2W grant from the City of Phoenix Arts and Culture and was selected as the Resident Artist for the Neighborhood Arts Grant awarded to Chicanos por la Causa (CPLC). Calderon holds over 20+ years as an experienced artist in multiple mediums; hired to paint a school bus in 2000 at age of 17. She has led multiple community art projects and murals (hand painted tile and paint). Calderon has displayed her artwork nationally, internationally, has been featured in Southwest Contemporary Magazine, KJZZ Fronteras Desk & Sounds of The City, ASU State Press, Medium.com, as well as keynote speaker for Creative Mornings.
