Digital composite imagery artist that combines photos of texture found in nature with photos of patina copper to create colorful abstract compositions that are printed on metal.

About The Artist:

Joey Melinda Morgan was born, raised and currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a self-taught artist that has earned a BS in Graphic Communications and a BS in Nutrition Sciences, both from Arizona State University. Being creative is a natural part of her being. For as long as she can remember, Joey has always used some sort of visual art as a form of self-expression.

Nature and her love of patina metal are major influences in her work. By digitally combining photos of patina-style copper and natural texture such as sand, stone, canyon walls, tree bark and varied plant-life, she has created a unique two-dimensional artistic style that appears three dimensional. The final abstract digital composite images are printed on metal.

Traveling to places to capture intricate, unusual texture to be used in a future piece is now part of her fervent journey as an artist.
