Watching You Watch Me, examines the materiality of the body as it exists through social media and technology. The materiality of our bodies determines how we orient ourselves toward the world around us, both in material and psychological terms, and is insistent on our location. In the age of social media our feelings and desires are molded by how we navigate and exist within the realm of cyber spaces. We are in a constant state of desire, obtain, cherish, engulfed by instant gratification culture as a performer, consumer, or spectator. The collaborative work by Emily Sarten and Sam Pesqueira question the ways we interact with technology as both an observer and performer through video and live performance.
