ABOUT
Katharine Leigh Simpson is a fine artist and installation artist, living and working in Mesa. She creates both two-dimensional and textural works as well as performance pieces to express energy, wave forms and life’s impermanence. Combining organic materials found in nature together with paper and other traditional fine art mediums, Katharine captures this energy and translate it into sculptural expressions. The dualistic qualities of strength and fragility in the materials themselves echo impermanence, while, at the same time, allude to their transformative properties.
