After a very busy series of perfromances Liliana will focus on her duties as Dance Department Head at Phoenix Center for the Arts. Where she will be teaching classes, and working with teachers on new workshops and series.
As a board member of Roosevelt Row, she along with team members will be working on their first ever; Roosevelt Row Academy series, this will kick off on February's Third Friday.

She is currently underway on creating a new dance piece that will premier for Artlinks annual Art Gala show on March 14th.


Liliana Gomez is a movement based Artist. Most of her choreography is performed outside just like public art. For these site specific performances Liliana has collaborated with other Artist, Art museums and galleries to present dance in public spaces. She is the Co Artistic Director of Phoenix's BlakTina Dance Festival; a dance festival that celebrates the work of Black and Latinx choreographers. Liliana is the newest member for The Latina Dance Project who co sponsors BlakTina Dance Festival. She contributes to the development and growth of the arts by mentoring teens through Rising Youth Theater, where she also serves as a co director for The LightRail Plays. Liliana is the dance department coordinator at The Phoenix Center for the Arts where she oversees the dance program, teaching classes, creating new classes and workshops for the Center. Liliana’s work has received much recognition, winning awards like the Stylos Artist of the Year Award, A Phoenix New Times’ “100 Creatives.” Won The Phoenix Mayor’s Arts Award for the Dance category. Two years in a row she was the finalist nominee for the Governor’s Arts award. She was named “Best Dancer" for Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix. She was featured in AZ Central’s “Who’s Next” series; the Artist series and was written about in Phoenix's Magazines "40 under 40" in the Artist category. Currently Liliana serves on three Boards; Roosevelt Row CDC, Artlink Phx and Phoenix DanceFest at Phx Art. Liliana is passionate about being apart of these Board of Directors. She is honored to have a seat at the table where she can work and advocate for Artist like herself in the community.
