ABOUT

Tess Mosko Scherer’s unique work combines her interest in the study of human psychology, specifically the light and shadow theories of Jung, and her interest in book structures. She strives to express the balance – or more often, imbalance - between what goes on in our private inner world and the outer world in which we are seen. Compositions of simplified form and color convey complex and universal themes.

In addition to her studio practice, Mosko Scherer co-founded Scherer Gallery in 1983, transitioning to online in 2006. She continues to maintain it online SchererGallery.com representing national and international contemporary artists. Since 2012, has served on the board of the Arizona Artists Guild as secretary, treasurer and currently, President. She was named one of the ‘100 Creatives’ by the Phoenix New Times in 2016. Additionally, she was the Artistic Director of Shemer Art Center and Museum from 2015-2017. In 2017, became a member artist at the eye lounge collective gallery. Mosko Scherer has a private practice coaching and mentoring artists. Mosko Scherer has won several awards in juried shows in Arizona. In addition to AAG she is a member of several art organizations including the Sonoran Arts League, Art Link and Art Intersection. Her work is represented by Van Gogh’s Ear Gallery, Prescott, and The Red Dot Gallery, Cave Creek.
